Last week DIGI-B-CUBE presented the results of the first round. 17 of the 217 participants have been selected for funding. i-Med was amongst the winners together with their consortium partners Azilpix BV and CIN-ergy BV.
With their project SURNIA, which focuses on bringing the Head Mounted Digital Loupe to the market in combination with a Studio.One broadcast software platform.
This game-changing 3D surgical loupe will provide the surgeon with enhanced stereoscopic vision, augmented with patient-specific real-time data, and two-way interaction for remote assistance and surgical training. The device will enhance the surgeon’s abilities, thus leading to more successful treatments.
During the project, the consortium will work on integrating the loupe into the digital operating room and improving surgical precision and efficiency by perceptually enhancing visual medical data and image stabilisation. The Consortium conducted the application in cooperation with TRIAS.
About DIGI-B-Cube Through various vouchers, SMEs can receive financial support to participate in joint innovation projects and to attend DIGI-B-CUBE events. DIGI-B-CUBE stands for Digital Innovations Disrupting Medical Diagnostics Value Chain.
The DIGI-B-CUBE project aims to promote cross-sector collaboration in SMEs by combining new digital technologies with the Bioimaging-Biosensing-Biobanking industry. The project supports the development and delivery of new market-sensitive innovative technologies and important digital innovations to redesign patient-centred diagnostics for a health economy 4.0.
The program makes available a Customized Solution Innovation Voucher up to € 150,000 and a Prototyping Voucher up to € 60,000.

Afgelopen week maakte DIGI-B-CUBE de resultaten bekend van de eerste ronde. 17 van de 217 projecten hebben te horen gekregen dat zij een voucher ontvangen. i-Med behoorde tot een van de winnaars samen met consortium partners Azilpix BV en CIN-ergy BV.
Met hun project SURNIA, dat focust op het op de markt brengen van een baanbrekende chirurgische loep gecombineerd met Studio.One broadcast software platform.
Deze nieuwe generatie chirurgische 3D loep biedt de chirurg een verbeterd stereoscopisch zicht, aangevuld met patiënt specifieke preoperatieve en real-time gegevens. De loep bevat de mogelijkheid om via 2-way streaming assistentie op afstand in te schakelen, tijdens operaties. Ook faciliteert de loep chirurgietraining op afstand, maar onder levensechte omstandigheden.
Tijdens het project zal het consortium zich bezig houden met de integratie van de loep in de digitale operatiekamer en het verbeteren van chirurgische precisie en efficiëntie door o.a. beeld stabilisatie en perceptueel verbeteren van de beeld kwaliteit.
Het Consortium heeft de aanvraag in samenwerking met TRIAS gedaan.
Over DIGI-B-Cube Via de verschillende vouchers kunnen MKB-ers financiële ondersteuning krijgen voor deelname aan gezamenlijke innovatieprojecten en voor het bijwonen van DIGI-B-CUBE-evenementen. DIGI-B-CUBE staat daarbij voor Digital Innovations Disrupting Medical Diagnostics Value Chain.
